Incredible India Tour

A fascinating journey starting from the capital Delhi, towards Udaipur, "the city of lakes", Jodhpur "the blue city", Jaipur, "the pink city", Agra, with its fabulous Taj Mahal, Gwalior with its magnificent Fort, Orchha, with its medevale fort, Khajuraho, with its beautiful temples, and Varanasi, the most spiritual city of India. A perfect itinerary for a romantic honeymoon. 

Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival at the airport in Delhi, meeting with our staff. Transfer to hotel and overnight.

 

Day 02: Delhi / Udaipur (by flight)
After breakfast tour of Old Delhi. Panoramic visit of Red Fort, world Heritage Site, built in 1639 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Visit of Jama Masjid mosque built in 1656. Walk in the Chandni Chowk 17th century market. Visit of Raj Ghat, where Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Continuation to new Delhi to see the government buildings and stop at India Gate, World War I memorial. Visit of Qutub Minar, 73 meters high tower, engraved with verses of the Koran, built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak. Transfer to airport to connect flight for Udaipur "Venice of the East" famous for white marble palaces located on Lake Pichola. Udaipur, was founded in the sixteenth century by Maharana Udai Singh, is known for 'crafts, Marble articles, paintings, silverware and pottery. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 03: Udaipur
Breakfast and visit the City Palace, the largest palace of Rajasthan, 5 palaces forming a citadel where still lives Maharaja and Royal family. Visit of Royal ladies garden Saheliyo ki bari. Evening boat ride on Lake Pichola. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 04: Udaipur / Ranakpur / Jodhpur (Km. 260 - approx 6 hrs)
Breakfast and departure to Jodhpur enroute visit Ranakpur Jain temple complex of the 15th century, from the refined mythological sculptures, marble columns, stained and fine decorations. Arrive at Jodhpur, the "Blue City" with its fifteenth century houses painted indigo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 05: Jodhpur
Breakfast and visit the Mehrangarh Fort, built by Rao Jodh in 1458 and has always been the residence of the sovereign. Inside, is a rich collection of palanquins, elephant sedans, musical instruments, costumes, furniture, weapons and tombs. Visit the Jaswant Thanda, white marble mausoleum built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1899 where the family member cremated and visit the museum located at the famous hotel Umaid Bhawan Palace. In the afternoon visit of Bishnoi villages by Jeep. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 06: Jodhpur / Pushkar / Jaipur (Km. 350 - aprrox 6 hrs)
Breakfast and leave for Jaipur, enrouting visit of Pushkar, scared city for Hindus and famous for its Camel fair. Procced for Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan, founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It is called the "pink city" for all your pink sandstone buildings of the old town. Upon arrival, time available for individual initiatives. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 07: Jaipur
Breakfast and excursion to Amber fort, whose construction began in 1592 and that was the ancient capital of Jaipur. Inside, in the fort you can find refined décor with sculptures, mirrors and precious stones. You can reach Fort entrance by elephant or jeep . Return to the city and stop at the magnificent Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal, built in 1799. Visit the complex of the City Palace, the historic seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in the sixteenth century by Sawai Jai Singh II and the royal residence still today. Visit the Jantar Mantar Astronomical Observatory, UNESCO site, architectural forms used as astronomical instruments, built by Maharaja Jai ​​Singh II between 1727 and 1734. Walk in bazar of Jaipur. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 08: Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra (km. 260 - aprrox 6 hrs)
Breakfast and leave for Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years for water shortages. Its palaces and pavilions are perfectly preserved red sandstone. Arrive in Agra, the "city of love". Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 09: Agra
Breakfast and visit the famous Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), UNESCO heritage monument where Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal love, died in childbirth in 1631, ordered the construction finished in 1653. Visit the Red Fort, UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by Akbar in 1565. Visit of the Pearl Mosque and the public hall of Audiences. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10: Agra / Gwalior (by train - about 1 ½ hours) Gwalior / Orccha (Km. 115 - aprrox 4 hrs)
Breakfast and transfer to the station to take the train to Gwalior, a town known for its ancient and massive fortresses. Visit the significant temples and Man Mandir Palace built in the 15th century by Raja Mansingh Tomar on a hill. L
eave for Orchha, a medieval city with palaces and temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 11: Orchha / Khajuraho (Km. 190 - aprrox 5 hrs)
Breakfast visit the city and Orchha fort with its Jehangir Mahal, built in 1606 to host emperor Jehangir. Walk in the bazar of Orchha. Later
 leave for Khajuraho, a UNESCO heritage site, built by the Chandela dynasty, came to power in Central India between the 10th and the 11th century and home to about 25 temples depicting scenes of life even erotic. Dinner and Overnight at hotel. 

 

Day 12: Khajuraho / Varanasi (by flight)
Beakfast and visit of Khajuraho temples.
 Transfer to airport to connect flight for Varanasi, the holy city par excellence for Hindus and one of the oldest cities of India. Visit the evening ceremony at river Ganges. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 13: Varanasi / Delhi (by flight)
Wake up in the early morning. Boat ride to attend the rituals of purification and the prayers of pilgrims at sun rise. Walk in the ancient city of Varanasi and visit if Golden Temple and the Mosque of Aurangzeb. After breakfast transfer to the airport. Boarding on flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, meeting with our staff and transfer to hotel for dinner. Later transfer to airport.

 

Day 14: Departure from Delhi
Boarding on the return flight home.
