Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, meeting with our staff and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
Breakfast and then tour in the Old and New Delhi. Panoramic visit of Red Fort, UNESCO heritage site, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1639 . Visit of Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, also commissioned by Shah Jahan and completed in 1656. Walk in Chandni Chowk, the old 17th century market, one of the biggest bazar of India. Visit of Raj Ghat the cremation site of Gandhi died in 1948. Continuation to new Delhi, the government buildings district and Connaught Place. Stop at India Gate, the arch erected in memory of the Indian soldiers who perished fighting for the British Army during World War II. Visit the Qutub Minar complex, a tower of 73 meters, engraved with Koran verses, built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi / Agra (Km. 210 - approx 4 hrs)
Breakfast and departure to Agra. In the afternoon visit of Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), UNESCO World Heritage Site, the magnificent monument built by Shah Jahan dedicated to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal died in childbirth, and which was completed in 1653. Visit the Red Fort, also declared a World Heritage Site, whose construction was ordered by Emperor Akbar in 1565. Visit the beautifual palaces and hall of public and private audiences. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Agra / Fatehpur Sikri / Jaipur (Km. 240 - approx 5 hrs)
Breakfast and departure to Jaipur. Stop at Fatehpur Sikri, located 40 kms. from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, to testimony the greatness of his court. It was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Its red sandstones palaces and pavilions are perfectly preserved. Continue to Jaipur the "Pink City" for the color of the pink sandstone buildings in the beautiful old town. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur
Breakfast and full day sightseeing of Jaipur city, founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727, the ruler of Amber, from which the city took its name. Visit of the famous Amber fort in red clay and white marble; its construction began in 1592 by Raja Man Singh's; it was the ancient capital of the state and here lived all the Rajput dynasties until the founding of Jaipur. Internally, the fort is richly decorated with sculptures, mirrors, precious stones. You can reach the fort entrance by elephant or jeep ride. Photo stop at beautiful Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds built in 1799. Visit of City Palace, the historic seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in XVIII° century by Sawai Jai Singh I, and still the residence of the royal family. Visit of Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory, a set of architectural forms used as astronomical instruments, built by Maharaja Jai Singh II between 1727 and 1734. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06: Jaipur / Pushkar / Deogarh (Km.274 - approx 5 hrs)
Leave for Deogarh enroute visiting Pushkar, the holy city for Hindus, on the banks of a small lake where devotees have their sacred ablutions. Pushkar, means in Sanskrit "blue lotus", is one of the oldest cities of India and is known for its folk annual camel fair in November. Arrive in Deogarh and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Deogarh / Udaipur (Km.130 - approx 3 hrs)
Breakfast and visit of the village. Leave for Udaipur also know as "white city", founded in sixteenth century by Maharana Udai Singh. This romantic city is built on the lakes and is famous for his fabulous palaces in white marble. Udaipur is also known for its handicrafts, marble items, paintings, silverware and pottery. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Udaipur
Breakfast and visit the City Palace, the largest palace of Rajasthan, made up of five buildings forming a citadel, still residence of royal family. Some part of City Palace has been converted in a luxury hotel and other part is open for public as a Museum. Visit of Royal ladies garden "Saheliyon ki bari". In the late afternoon, boat ride on Lake Pichola to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Udaipur / Mumbai (by flight )
Breakfast and transfer to the airport to board the flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival at the airport, meeting with our staff and transfer to hotel. Mumbai is capital of Maharashtra and economic power in India. Before the arrival of European, Bombay consisted of seven fishing villages, each on a separate island. Today it is the most populous city in India and the fourth most populous in the world. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Mumbai
Breakfast and excursion to Elephanta Caves by boat, one of the finest collections of rock art in India. They are seven caves on island in the Sea of Oman close to Mumbai, rich-decorated temples and Hindu mythological images. Masterpieces of the period, probably, between the 6th and the 8th century and now an UNESCO heritage site (closed on Mondays). In the afternoon, visit of Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Mondays) and Jain temple. Visit of Gateway of India, Marine Drive, the Dhobi Ghats (open air laundromat), the Victoria Terminus, the Gothic-style station, the Crawford Market, home of Mani Bhavan where Mahatma Gandhi lived when he visited Bombay and now a museum. Dinner and transfer to the airport.
Day 11: Departure from Mumbai
Boarding the flight back home.
