An interesting itinerary to discover the most beautiful cities of northern India, Delhi, the capital of India, steeped in ancient culture, the bizarre Jaipur, with its splendid monuments, the romantic Agra with its marvelous Taj Mahal, Khajuraho with its magnificent erotic sculptures and Varanasi, the holiest city in India. A journey that allows you to learn about different aspects of India, both purely cultural and deeply spiritual.

Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival at the airport in Delhi, meeting with our staff and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 02: Delhi
Breakfast and tour of Old Delhi. Panoramic visit of Red Fort, built in 1639 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (who built the Taj Mahal), and in 2007 UNESCO heritage. Visit of Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, also commissioned by Shah Jahan and completed in 1656.  Passing through Chandni Chowk
the 17th century old market wanted by the emperor himself. Visit of Raj Ghat, a site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Proceed of new Delhi up to the neighborhood of the government buildings, stop at India Gate, 42 meter Arc built in memory of Indian soldiers died during World War I. Visit of Qutub Minar complex, a 73 meters tower, engraved with Koran verses, built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 03: Delhi / Jaipur (Km.265 - about 5 hours)
Breakfast and departure to Jaipur , capital of Rajasthan and also know as "pink city", founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, after whom the city is named. Rickshaw o Tuk tuk ride in the old city of Jaipur. Visit of City Palace, still the residence of the royal family and a part of it is open for public. Followed by a visit of the Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory, World Heritage site. Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 04: Jaipur
Breakfast and excursion to Amber Fort with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds, built in 1799 to allow to the royal ladies to observe, in the discretion, everyday life on the streets. Continue to the Amber Fort, 11 kms. from the city, built by Raja Man
Singh's in 1592, it was the ancient capital of the state. Inside you can find beautiful palaces, halls and pavilions, decorated with sculptures, mirrors and precious stones. Afternoon free for relaxing, shopping or individual visits. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 05: Jaipur / Abhaneri / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra (Km.240 - about 5 hours)
Breakfast and departure to Agra enroute visiting Abhaneri, one of the largest step well. Lunch at the palace of the Maharaja of Bharatpur. Continuation and stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, located 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, witness the power of his kingdom. The city was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Its red sandstones palaces and pavilions are perfectly preserved. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 06: Agra
Breakfast and visit of Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, whose construction was ordered by Emperor Akbar in 1565. Visit the Mausoleum of Etimad-ud-Daula. Afternoon visit of famous Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), the magnificent monument built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 07: Agra / Orchha / Khajuraho (Km.190 - about 5 hours)
Breakfast and leaving for Jhansi by Shatabdhi Express, departing at 08:11 and arriving at 10:45 am, meet with our staff, assist on arrival and drive to Orccha, medieval town of Bundela rulers who ruled in the 16th and 17th century. Visit of Jehangir Mahal palace, built in 1606 to host the emperor Jehangir. Time at lesiure to visit the city. In the afternoon, drive to Khajuraho, built by Chandela dynasty, came to power in Central India between the 10th and 11th century and home to about 25 temples added as World Heritage site and famous for depicting scenes of daily life as well as erotic. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 08: Khajuraho / Varanasi (Flight - about 1 hour)
Breakfast and visit of the magnificent Jain and Hindu temples, sacred emblems of Indian architecture with the countless erotic figures. In late morning, transfer to airport for boarding flight to Varanasi, one of the oldest and holy city in India. Visit the evening ceremony on the bank of the river Ganges. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 09: Varanasi / Delhi (by flight - about 1 hour)
Early morning boat ride on river Ganges to attend the rituals of purification, offerings and prayers of the pilgrims to the rising sun, between the incense and the spiritual atmosphere of Varanasi. Walk in the ancient city hosting the Golden Temple and the Mosque of Aurangzeb. Transfer to the airport for boarding flight to Delhi and on arrival meeting with our staff. Transfer to local restaurant for dinner. Later in time transfer to airport to board flight.

 

Day 10: Departure from Delhi
Flight boarding for the return home.
