Day 01: Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at the airport in Delhi, meeting with the staff of our staff for presentations. Transfer to hotel and overnight.

 

Day 02: Delhi / Ajmer (Intercity), Ajmer / Pushkar (Km.20 - about 30 minutes)

Starting in the morning with direct intercity train to Ajmer (6 hours). Arrival and transfer to Pushkar (30 minutes). Accommodation at the camp. In the afternoon visit the Pushkar Fair, the ghats and the Brahma Temple, the only one of its kind in India. Return to Field.

 

Day 03: Pushkar

Day tour of the Pushkar Fair which hosts trading among cattle traders, the sacred rites of the pilgrims who bathe in the lake to purify themselves. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 04: Pushkar / Jaipur (Km.150 - about 3 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur and capital of Rajasthan, founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, and called the "Pink City" for the color of its buildings. In 2008 Conde Nast Traveller Readers Choice Survey has ranked Jaipur the 7th best place to visit in Asia. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 05: Jaipur

Breakfast and visit to the famous Amber fort, 11 km. from the city, whose construction began in 1592 by Raja Man Singh's hand, and that was the ancient capital of the state and the seat of all the Rajput dynasties until the founding of Jaipur. The outside, austere interior behind-decorated with sculptures, mirrors, precious stones. And 'it is foreseen the entrance to the fort access elephant or jeep (if available), along the walls and embankments. Afterwards, return to Jaipur to see outside the Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal, formed in 1799 and consists of five beautifully decorated floors, structured so as to allow the ladies of the court to observe, without being seen themselves, life daily in the streets and watch the processions. In the afternoon, using the typical Indian middle, Tuc Tuc, around town. Visit the City Palace, whose construction was started between 1729 and 1732 by Sawai Jai Singh II, its courtyards, gardens and buildings, which is the heart of the old city and has been the home of the Maharaja of Jaipur and today , in part, is the royal residence. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory, the World Heritage site, a set of architectural forms that serve as astronomical instruments, built by Maharaja Jai ​​Singh II between 1727 and 1734 on the model of similar structures already erected in Delhi. Day 06: Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra (Km.240 - about 5 hours)

Breakfast and departure to Agra with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the city built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar who wanted magnificent witness to the power of his court and was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Its palaces and pavilions are perfectly preserved red sandstone. In the afternoon access to the famous Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), the Muslim art mausoleum that the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built in memory of his second wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1631 and which was completed in 1653. The Taj Mahal houses the remains of both. The monument is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 07: Agra / Delhi (Km.210 - about 4 hours)

Breakfast and visit the fortress of Agra. This too strong, which takes its name from the sandstone color with which it is made, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1565. Inside, among other wonders of great beauty, even palaces and mosques of white marble inlaid with precious stones. Visit the Mosque of the Pearls and the Sale of Audiences. Afternoon drive to Delhi. No overnight. Dinner and transfer to the airport.

 

Day 08: Departure from Delhi

Flight boarding for the return you home.
